A great way to dress up an old bookshelf: hang a mirror right on the front! It helps break up the sea of books and adds some dimension. Try it with a couple of picture hanging strips (if your mirror is on the light side) or don’t be afraid to tap in a nail or two. Painters can fix any of that down the road if you decide to switch things up later. I think the most beautiful spaces are constantly evolving in interesting ways! And in fact, one of my favorite ways to get a little bounce in my step for the day is to change something up in my house so it feels new and different. Move those pillows around! Bring in a new plant. Switch your art up so you actually look at it more! I challenge you to have a little fun with your surroundings today and see what happens!!
